Alexander - Baby and childrens blanket
This bold color blocked blanket uses a combination of two stitches. Seed Stitch creates the border around the perimeter of the blanket and a simple repetition of knit and purl stitches compose the beautiful Basket Weave texture for the body of the blanket. The instructions are written for two sizes - a baby sized blanket and a child sized (or throw sized) blanket.

This pattern was fun and easy. I used one Wheel of Aplace which did the color changes for me! It came out super soft and cuddly, just the right size for snuggling under. I gave it to my friend who is gong through chemotherapy. And I’m making one for myself with my 2nd Wheel of Alpaca!

Very easy to follow pattern. I enjoyed this quick knit. I did the child size but had lots of yarn left so I think it could be made bigger with another ball of the middle colour. I did mine on shades of purple and loved the effect.

Simple, easy pattern. Modified the baby size slightly, the first color had an extra repeat section and I wanted the sections to be even. Very pretty, and great to learn on!
