14 Crocheted Animals is created from Danish Go Handmade and is based on the animals from their collection “Emily and Friends”. The book is filled with wonderful pictures that make it a fun and cosy project to crochet the sweet animals.
In the book, besides Emily the mouse, we will meet all of her friends: the rabbits Lilly and Tim, the teddy bears Burt and Bart, the three mice Ella, Elliot and Arno, the elephants Sara and Simba, the zebras Paula and Peter, as well as the giraffes Julia and Lotta.
It is obvious that Hanne Tolberg, who is behind Go Handmade, has put a lot of time and love into this book since all the animals are abundant in details and have been given their own unique personalities. Therefore the animals are well suited as toys for the kids, as interior decorations or as a hostess gift.
In the book, the recommended crochet hook size is B/1-C/2. We have used 100% cotton yarn with a yardage of 164 yards/1.76 oz. For the patterns, we recommend you to use Cotton 8/4, Drops Loves You 7 or Cotton Junior.
The book is for absolute beginners as well as experienced crocheters. At the beginning of the book, you will find instructions regarding crochet tension and recommended supplies as well as explanations of how to join the different parts. Moreover, the book only measures 7.87 x 7.87 inches, so it is very easy to take with you on the go.

I, too, did not know the book uses UK terminology until I started making my first animal using US dc. Did not go well! I thought it was a misprint until I saw that all the patterns used the dc stitch. That's when I realized it was UK terms. I can adapt, and it will probably make me more flexible brainwise, but I came back here to see if I was mentioned in the description, because I think it should be. Looking forward to making the zebras for my newest nephew.

Book is well made, looks easy to follow.
Wish the description had mentioned it was the UK version. Would have strongly preferred the US version if available. Would not have bought if it had been specified.
