PATTERN INFORMATION

The pattern for the Myrtle Mittens is inspired by the feeling of late autumn, falling leaves and the first snowflakes. The mittens are knitted with one strand of sport weight yarn, held together with one strand of mohair. The yarn combination is perfect to keep your hands warm, and also creates a fluffy fabric, to give you that cozy feeling when the days get darker and colder.

The mittens come in 3 sizes, XS (7-10 years), S (small women's size) and M (medium women's size). The cables and the structure on the back of the hand make the mittens elastic, and make them fit really nicely on your hands. The mittens are worked in the round, with double pointed needles or a long circular needle for magic loop. The pattern has charts that describe the cables and “bobbles” on the back of the hand. The palm side is worked in stockinette st.

Brown mittens: 1 (1) 1 skein of Highland Wool color 25 Autumn Leaf and 1 (1) 1 skein of Friends Kid Silk color 10 Cappuccino

Green mittens: 1 (1) 1 skein of Highland Wool color 22 Timian and 1 (1) 1 skein of Friends Kid Silk color 114 Sage

Petrol mittens: 1 (1) 1 skein of Highland Wool color 19 Sage Melange and 1 (1) 1 skein of Friends Kid Silk color 88 Turkish blue
