#FrostandBloomCAL – Part 3: Bullseye, African Flower, and Blooming Motifs

Updated: February 17, 2026

Things are getting serious….. seriously beautiful, that is! 😍 This week, we’re treating you to three eye-catching designs that really steal the show.

You’ll start with the Bullseye motif, using post stitches and lacy details to create perfect balance. Then, get ready to fall in love with the African Flower, a total delight that uses spike stitches to break up colors in striking ways. Finally, the Blooming motif brings together puff stitches and clusters for a texture that looks like it was fresh-picked from a flourishing garden. 🌺🌿

Updated: February 24, 2026

Ready to flex those creative muscles? 💪 This week, we’re tackling the two motifs, and they are here to push your skills to stunning new heights!

First up, we have the Snowflake motif. You’ll be dipping your toes into tapestry crochet to create a bold, graphic look that captures the magic of drifting snow. ❄️

Then, it’s time to set sail with Sea Dog! This is our most colorful hexagon yet, designed to look just like a ship’s wheel steering us straight into crochet joy. ⚓

#FrostandBloomCAL – Part 5: Half Hexagon and Filler Motifs

Updated: March 3, 2026

We’re in the home stretch! 🏁 Now it’s time to make the structural superstars of the Aura Lapghan.

You'll be working on half hexagons for the edges and filler motifs to perfect the shape. Make the blanket uniquely yours by picking your favorite designs for the fillers! Then, grab that darning needle to weave in your ends and steam block your motifs for a professional finish. 🧶💨

#FrostandBloomCAL – Part 6: Placement, Assembly, and Border

Updated: March 10, 2026

It’s time for the grand finale! 🥳 We’ve reached the most exciting step: turning those piles of hexagons into a blanket.

First, channel your inner artist and arrange your motifs in a layout that makes your heart sing. Once you're ready, we’ll use a quick and easy crochet slip stitch to seam everything together.

Next, frame your masterpiece with a simple one-round border for that polished, cohesive look. And for the cherry on top? Give your blanket a good wet block to set the shape and make that drape absolutely dreamy. You did it! 🛁✨
