An unbelievably beautiful wool blend with an amazing depth of color and an extraordinary glow!
We have Winter Glow produced at an Italian spinnery that makes color combinations that are out of this world.
The yarn has a loosely spun structure with a slight variation in thickness and is easy to work with. As your project takes shape, you’ll see layer upon layer emerging in a surprising and fascinating play of beautiful color.
The South American wool used is both warm and soft. Therefore, Winter Glow is suitable for projects such as ponchos, jumpers and cardigans, beanies, mittens, and scarves…all with breathtaking colors to spice up any outfit. Otherwise, use it to create a unique blanket; a single skein goes a long way with its 700 meters.
Please be aware that the yarn's thickness varies quite a bit, providing the yarn with its very own expression.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2476-419). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I absolute love this yarn, it's one of, if not my favourite from Hobbii! I've crocheted two projects with two different colourways and already have two other ones to stitch up next. I want to try them all overtime.
It's warm and soft enough to wear around your neck, for example, and the colours are just gorgeous and so original and sophisticated.
It's a pleasure working with this yarn and seeing the different colours appear and merge, and to feel the different textures given by the variation in yarn thickness.
The downside of it it's the price, so don't miss the opportunity when it is on sale.

I have made two crochet granny blankets from this wool. I love the colour changes and the texture. I have come back time and time again to order more and in different colours. If you like variegated wool this is a great one to get. I have also used the it on the loom to make a scarf. It is quite lightweight and airy but warm and cosy. Service and delivery all through covid restrictions during the last year has been prompt to both the UK and Portugal. Highly recommended.

I fear that I have developed a real and genuine addiction to this yarn. I've bought 19 skeins of this, along with 9 of its sister, Winter Glow Solid, and the excitement to see and feel a new skein never fades. It's being worked into sweaters, a shawl, a blanket and more TBD. I simply cannot stop. Luckily, the projects will be very warm, because we will be homeless very soon if this does not stop.
Anyway, absolutely gorgeous yarn. 10/10, worth becoming destitute for.

This yarn is soft and I love how the colours keep changing. It's the first time I use yarn that changes in thickness. It can be a bit tricky a first, but instead of trying to compensate for the difference, just bring all the loops to the thicker part of your needle (I used for crochet) so all your stitches have the same size :)
Also, since the yarn is really light, you get a piece that is warm but not too heavy.

This yarn is super warm and absolutely gorgeous. I crocheted it in seed stitch and it gave a very interesting pattern with the variegation, subtle but intrigueing. You do have to be sure about what you are doing though, frogging this yarn is a bit of a challenge, the wispy threads tend to knot up when pulling.
