Unicorn is a lovely 75% merino wool yarn together with 25% polyamide in gorgeous shades.
Each hank of Unicorn is unique because the yarn is hand-dyed enabling the most beautiful interplay of colors in the yarn. As the yarn is dyed in small batches, two skeins will never be the same and the colors vary more than usual from lot to lot. It is a good idea to calculate exactly how much you will need for your project before you start, so you are sure to have enough.
Unicorn is durable enough for socks, but the wonderful shades make it an obvious choice for unique shawls, sweaters, or funky vests. You can try pairing Unicorn with a thin strand of silk mohair and create a fluffy dream in the loveliest hues.
For larger projects, we recommend alternating between two hanks when knitting/crocheting. Simply work one row with the first hank, the next row with the second hank, and continue alternating throughout the entire project .This way you avoid an overly obvious color shift in the transition from one hank to the next.
Enter the world of magic and color with Unicorn.

NB: Since Unicorn is hand-dyed, the colors in Unicorn may vary from Unicorn Solid due to the different dyeing techniques; if you use Unicorn and Unicorn Solid together, it is very important that you handwash the project and avoid soaking.

OH MY Goodness, this yarn is AMAZING. I am beyond excited and happy to get this yarn today. The colorways is more beautiful in person than on the screen. I bought Graceful, the grey is like a stormy sky grey and then there is this deep dark blue like a dangerous sea and a gorgeous magenta color that can be deep purple or bright almost neon pink. And it’s so soft it feels like a baby’s skin . This yarn is so worth the price. I can’t wait till it gets restocked because I NEED more , I can’t wait to find a pattern worthy of this yarn!!!

I've been eyeing this yarn ever since I saw the Hazy Unicorn shawl TWO YEARS AGO! While I liked the color used in the original pattern, I absolutely love color 2 - Giving. It was finally in stock and on super sale during live shopping last month so I bought a bunch. The hand-dyeing is so beautiful! I love that Hobbii also lists the coordinating Unicorn Solid colors so I bought those as well! Can't wait to make my Hazy Unicorn...and lots of other things with this yarn!

Where have you been before? I am absolutely in love with this yarn, colors and texture are amazing, so soft. I purchased color 07(amazed) on super deal, working on a top-down sweater. It has beautiful vibrant colors and very deep blue, it will be a perfect casual sweater with jeans. In hobbii patterns, I see it was mixed with mohair, but I am using it as is, to me nothing additional is needed.

I bought the color 02 because it was on sale. It is definitely better in person than on the screen. I knitted a pair of socks. This yarn is as soft as unicorn solid, which I'm totally in love with! I'm amazed with its quality. I'd highly recommend this yarn to anyone who is interested and I'm planning on buying more sometime soon!

I purchased the color 06, and the colors are so vibrant and lovely. Can't wait for this yarn to restock so I can buy some in every color. With my Clover crochet hooks, the stitches worked up smoothly and quickly, with very minimal splitting. I made my first pair of socks and I'm in love with them!
