Tweed Wrist Warmers
Exquisite and warm wrist warmers
Exquisite and warm wrist warmers in a timeless design!
They’re crocheted in Tweed Delight which is an incredibly soft wool mix with pretty tweed flecks that gives the yarn beautiful color variations and is available in several different combinations.
The yarn has a great rustic structure that makes for a really pretty and simple looking end result.
They’re crocheted using relief/post stitches that makes the fit incredibly comfortable.
Combine with a hat or headband from the same series.
Have fun!

Great pattern, I will be making a few as they are very easy to make.

I love this pattern and it’s also always cold so extra warmth

Easy to make & easy to wear!
I made mine with some fingering weight coral yarn from my stash.
Because the yarn is fine than the pattern calls for, I need a longer foundation and more rounds.
The front post double crochet creates a pretty texture and results in extra warmth.
Although this is marked "Intermediate," an adventurous Beginner might enjoy making them.
My trick when making a pair is to use both ends of the skein and alternate working on both pieces. (When there is a left and a right, I label them. This pattern is so forgiving i wear them interchangably.)

These wrist warmers work up quickly and easily. The front post dc makes the result thick and very warm. My one suggestion is to make the thumb holes at least 1-2 stitches larger than suggested especially if making the larger size. The yarn can be a bit finicky in the beginning stages, but after the first couple of rounds it becomes much more manageable. I would absolutely make these again in another color.

Very simple pattern. The use of post stitches leaves the end result very stretchy, which means you can get a snuggly fitting wristwarmer without doing a lot of complicated sizing, or any increasing/decreasing. The resulting wristwarmers are charming, and very chunky.
