PATTERN INFORMATION
Beautiful summer top in a light and airy pattern. The top is worked from the bottom up – starting with the body, then dividing into a front and back panel and finally the straps are added.
The photos also show the following colours: Friends Weel col. Misty Green (113) and Friends Weel Chocolate (12).
Here you can easily and quickly buy everything needed for this pattern.

I really like this pattern. It's very similar to the My precious cardigan pattern, because you quickly realize what row comes next after the first set of rows. So you don't need to look at the pattern again until the top section.
Attention: instructions for part of row 5 are as follows: "*ch 1, sk 1 st, 2 dc in the next st, 1 dc in each of the next 4 sts, dc2tog, "
I believe this should have read " 2dc in next st" instead of that last dc2tog. Otherwise you're left with 7 stitches instead of 8, and then you can't have 8 stitches on top in the next row, and the top will have this really uneven wave. Other than that, I found this pattern pretty easy to follow. I've been crocheting for 20+years though.

Love the look and idea of this top. I used Twister which turned out lovely. However, I have been crocheting for over 40 yrs and I couldn’t follow the upper section of this pattern. There was also an error in the pattern’s repeat that has been fixed but if you had downloaded an older version of the pattern - like me - you had to have the experience to catch and correct this. So it wasn’t too surprising the upper section made no sense. So I split and decreased the upper section using my own knowledge after I gave up trying to sort out the instructions. I can read charts but I couldn’t line that chart up with the work. I ended up used the photo of the top to judge where to decrease.

Pattern was relatively easy to follow although a few clearer instructions at the ends of rows when the divide was needed would have been helpful. Overall the garment was a success but I had to add a band at the bottom as I found the length a little short.

I had sizing issues - was using rainbow bamboo instead of the recommended yarn. Dropped to a 3mm hook and gauge was still large so dropped to the small pattern. Turned out to be on the small side for a medium. All of that is likely at least in part due to different yarn. Overall the pattern is straightforward for the body. I like it was in the round. However, the top portion is very confusing despite the graph and the description. Row 12 of the top portion Is inaccurate and you need to follow the graph (I’ll send hobbii an email so this could change in the future). To tell you to do it in reverse on the other side is confusing because you will be working the other direction which does make a difference in your stitches. It’s hard to know which direction goes toward the middle of the shirt as well. The top part took me a very long time with multiple efforts. It would be easier in the future but can’t say I’ll make another. I’m glad I made the one.

There is a serious disconnect in the front/back sections of the top's instructions. Row 4/Row 9 are supposed to be the same. But Row 4 start/ends with dc2tog. Row 9 in the chart has 2 dc on the left side and 8 dc on the right. The pattern says that Row 10 is where you are splitting for the neckline and go up the sides. But it makes no sense to start Row 10 with 8 dc when Row 9 start ends with 2 dc. Is Row 9 split? Do you start Row 10 from the center? The instructions are missing this crucial step in transition. Do you not test your patterns?
