Summer Poncho - Adult
Poncho with an airy pattern
Knit this pretty Summer poncho with an airy hole pattern for the chilly Summer nights. The poncho is knitted top down with one skein of the fabulous, color changing Twister yarn and it is available in one size.
Here you can easily and quickly buy everything needed for this pattern.

I found it quite interesting altho I was slightly off with lining the shaping up but I'm happy with the outcome. I used wool that I already had and the colours used are not the same as your poncho. Enjoyed the experience thank you ☺️🙏🏽

I should have read these reviews before knitting the poncho in its entirety. The instruction are not only inadequate but wrong. As written they produce a poncho with an off-center "shaping" that moves sideways. Obviously, the three ladies posting ahead of me are more experienced than I am so either gave up on the pattern or made educated adjustments.
The yarn, which is expensive, is beautiful and feels heavenly but even that, I think, makes it unsuitable for this project. It has too much give and stretch for a garment that will be used often over other clothes. It would make a beautiful shawl. I hope this review will alert knitters because the time invested is considerable for something that, in the end, is not satisfactory.

So far I am experiencing the same problem that Brigit Hampel was describing. I am trying it with a marker before the K1 and increasing a stitch before the marker and after the marker. Then on the row that says *yo, k2tog* I did not include the K1 stitch by the markers. It doesn't make sense to do that. This pattern definitely needs corrections in order to obtain the same item as indicated by the picture. It is beautiful but does not explain the process clearly. Not even intermediate level knitters are going to be able to find it clear. The needle size indicated has to be wrong for U.S. size needles. I am using a size 6 but a 4 would also work better. That makes the neck size larger. Sooo sad.

I tried knitting this pattern but I had to give up. In order to maintain the centre front and back stitches, you would constantly have to be moving the markers in a way that is not specified. The YO K2tog row has an odd number of sts which in order to make it work requires you to use that centre k1. The row that follows it does not indicate where that marker is in relation to the kfb increases. It is a nice design but I would have to rewrite the pattern to make it work. Also, the neck opening is too small. The picture suggests a larger neck opening.
