This is a great pattern for beginners of crochet, as well as to filet crochet, only double(US) and chain stitches. It's easy once you have an idea of the pattern to fall into a rhythm working this up as well. I would make this again! I would recommend paying attention to yardage. I used Sultan Shadow which has less yardage than the recommended yarn, and I ended up having to dip into the black of a second cake I had on hand as much as I would've loved this to be a one cake project. Worth it, though.

It’s beautiful!!! I finished it quickly as it was a fun and easy to follow pattern. I loved how the color transitioned as I got farther in the pattern, this made me more motivated to finish it. I actually got a couple more yarn color to do another!!! Simple yet classy!!!

I love the pattern. It took me a bit to get it started, used lots of stitch markers, But once I got the hang of it, it went very quickly. It has been a lot of years since I've done Filet crochet. This pattern made it easy to remember how. I highly recommend this pattern.

I used the yarn suggested and it came out amazing. Texture was very nice, pattern was easy to follow, great diagrams. Only thing was the finished product was a little narrow for me, it was more like a scarf so I re-did it with 4 extra columns. Highly recommend and would do it again!
