We want you to be able to enjoy a yarn completely made out of recycled cotton. We believe that it is important to prolong the lifespan of preexisting cotton and we want to give our customers the choice to use these fibers as long as possible.
The cotton used to manufacture Recycled Cotton is post-consumer and it mainly consists of repurposed garments, household items, etc.
The color range has all the essential shades and it is mostly toned down. Recycled Cotton has a rustic feel to it and preserves the characteristics that make cotton great: it is resistant and easy to take care of.
You can work with Recycled Cotton using 4 mm (US 6) knitting needles or a 5 mm (US H-8) crochet hook, hence your project will go by smooth and quickly.
Do you need some inspiration on what to create with this lovely yarn? We definitely recommend summer tops, trendy trousers, cardigans, dishcloths, and much more.
We cannot wait for you to enjoy our very first completely recycled cotton yarn.
NOTE: Please note that a printing error has occurred on the label: follow the yarn category, knitting needles, knitting gauge, crochet hook, and crochet gauge as shown on the website. We apologize for the inconvenience!

I was a little sceptical because I’ve used recycled cotton before and it was rough and it even burnt my index finger when crocheting. This yarn is actually wonderful! It’s truly soft, though not as soft as regular cotton, but it’s perfect for a lot of projects I’m working on. I first made a dishcloth to try how absorbent it was, and it works great. I have very sensitive skin and eccema so I won’t be using it to make clothing that goes directly against my skin, but it’s perfect for everything else. Highly recommend!

Good yarn for making sturdy things, outerwear, and washcloths. Not the softest cotton yarn, but considering it is recycled and a comparable price to a wide-known cheap cotton yarn, this one is definitely easier to work with, and on the hands. I only notice the stiffness to be honest when holding a softer cotton yarn like Friends. I've only tried the Mint Green color so far, but it was a vibrant and even dye job and I would definitely use this yarn again in the future for projects.

This is great yarn. As other reviews have mentioned, it does split, but it's not unmanageable. This yarn is very easy to work up and very strong. I didn't love it for granny squares when I was working with it for a blanket, but I did love it for a small bucket purse I made. It's definitely something I would use as a go-to option for making more purses and bags. It doesn't really pill much, which is another huge plus.

I bought this together with the Friends cotton and comparatively to that you can definitely feel the texture difference. This yarn is a little more courser and stiffer so it would be great for anything that needs structure. Have yet to try it with amigurumi but am currently working on patterned rug with it and so far it's turning out nicely!

I just received my first lot of this new yarn and am using it to make the bodice of a dress. It is a firm texture which is perfect for the structured look I wanted, the weight is giving good drape and I am finding it easy to work with. I like it so much I immediately ordered more. I also love that it's recycled. Very happy
