Nina Dress

A pretty dress with a round yoke.

A pretty dress with a round yoke.

The dress is knitted from one skein of Sultan and is available in sizes 1 (2) 3 years.

The skirt is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch with double thread which are taken from the inside and the outside of the skein at the same time. The yoke is knitted in a single thread with decreases.

Virginie

Easy pattern. Used the Fire Opal colour.
The yarn is very splitty. Had to get some 2,5 mm circular needles and use the Magic Loop technique to finish the top part.
The part when we cast-on the stitches for the sleeves is somewhat annoying, until it gets easier after a few rows.

Have done this my first try. Cute as can be ready to do another

I agree that the pattern was fairly easy. I too had a little difficulty with the casting on of the stitches - had to rip a few rows out and do it again. I also had difficulty with the yoke when doing the decreases. I didn't quite understand how/when to do them so my yoke didn't quite come out right. Still cute though. See the Photo Gallery page. I posted a picture. I used Cotton Kings Sultan in Rubellite (48). Magic Loop method is key and definitely focus on LOOSE knitting when casting on, and binding off. I hope I was loose enough on the binding off! I only gave it 4 stars due to the lack of clarity on the decreases on the yoke.
