Lagoon - Pouch bag
MEASUREMENTS
Width: 25 cm / 9.8”
Length (without the strap): 18 cm / 7”
PATTERN INFORMATION
Lagoon bag is a beginner-friendly crochet project. It has a one-piece structure that folds perfectly into a small pouch bag (a perfect gift idea!). The stitch I chose creates a solid ribbed fabric that has stretch to it. Characterised by pearly finish that creates a fascinating iridescence, reminiscent of a calm ocean on a sunny day. The main hook needed is large, which makes it a simple and quick project to complete.
Here you can easily and quickly buy everything needed for this pattern.

Love my new bags. I changed the color for the border and added buttons to hold strap and to close bag. It is small and perfect like I like. I will add a lining later to have it hold its shape better. The pattern was super easy to follow and worked out great with the yarn suggested. That yarn is amazing and I want to make myself a top for next winter. I have posted a picture as well in the photo gallery :)

The pattern was easy and the yarn was soft and beautiful. I love the bag.

Once again, I also am not a beginner, the explanation of this bag is not done well, no one seemed to proofread it. For example, how do you go from row 2, (41 stitches) to row 3, (35 stitches) to begin with. Also, the strap part of this bag is extremely confusing. Normally to make things simpler, the person usually writes "repeat rows 8 and 9 until you have 14 rows." but you say it differently, so we don't know "do we decrease one side? Both sides? When it came to the strap, it just doesn't make sense to me at all. I have in my cart about 10 skeins of yarn, and since I had some yarn at home, I wanted to give this pattern a test run. But now, I don't want to have decipher what you're trying to say, so I will pass. It's a lovely bag, but the explanation is too out of whack. Pictures would have definitely helped. Good luck to all, hope you understand it better than I did.

The pattern is written fairly well, and is relatively straightforward, though beginners who are visual learners, or who rely on schematics may find it challenging. The crocheter needs to be familiar with increasing, decreasing, and basic project construction before attempting. The finished bag is cute, and is a useful size.
