We have fallen head over heels for Twister, a really soft cake-yarn with beautiful color transitions, that develop into festive, subtle or crazy wild color combinations.
Perhaps you already know cake-yarns from e.g. Mayflower and Cotton Kings’ Twirls. If you crave a treat, you should know that “cake” is just a term for the way the yarn is packaged. Our own Twister excels by being twined which makes the yarn easy to work with.
The amazing colors unfold as you go and it is a true pleasure to watch the slow transitions of the colors. Here you get a whopping 1094 yards (1 km) of yarn and one skein is enough, if you wish to knit or crochet a shawl or a scarf. The fabulous cotton is combined with acrylic which adds a lighter and more solid end result.
Twister is perfect for shawls and scarves, but it has a lot of potential uses. It is easy to care for since it is machine washable. Please note, the yarn is tied together with a small knot where the threads change colors.
Generally, you use more yarn for crocheting than you do for knitting. So you might experience that you cannot use the entire skein when knitting e.g. a shawl. Of course, it depends on the project and the pattern, you choose. Normally, it is not a problem to have too much yarn, but please consider, if you prefer to start with the thread from the center or from the outside part of your Twister cake-yarn skein when starting on your project.
You can combine it with a one-colored Twister for e.g. an edge on a shawl, for sleeves or for a rib edge on a blouse or a poncho. Check out Twister Solid right here.26: 110, 120
34: 114, 123, 128
PLEASE NOTE that Twister and Twister Solid will never match up 100%, since they are dyed in seperate dye lots.
Enjoy!
NOTE: Unfortunately, a mistake appears on a few labels. The correct information is 55% cotton + 45% acrylic.
Suggested knitting gauge is approx. 26 stitches x 35 rows with US needles size 2.5 (3 mm). Twister is a very flexible yarn which can be knitted tightly with US needle size 1.5 (2.5 mm), so you get a knitting gauge of approx. 28 stitches. You can also knit it looser with US needle size 6 (4 mm) and get approx. 22 stitches for e.g. extra soft shawls and scarves. Thus, you can experiment with the knitting gauge and easily vary it with various needle sizes depending on the project you are about to start. Try making a small gauge swatch of 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm), so you can measure your knitting gauge before you start. Then you have the option to adjust it, so it matches the pattern or the gauge, you wish.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification on the https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I came across Hobbii online thru instagram suggestion. I had been looking for yarn for a project for a long time. This project in particular needed at least 800 yards to complete and I dislike having to join more yarn in the middle of my project. However in the US i would expect finding a yarn cake over 800 yards to be easy but no its not the few you do find always are way too over priced as well. After finding Hobbii and coming across this yarn i fell in love not only was the length and quality great but i had been searching for a purple to back faded yarn for years. Its not a common color change in my area at least. After receiving this yarn cake i was hooked the quality was outstanding the colors were vibrant and exactly like pictured. The yarn was soft and easy to work with. I am still making my project but i look forward to sharing a picture of it completed. I am now a happy member on Hobbii and will always look here first for my projects.

I purchased Hobbii Twister to make a shawl for my sister and my friends upcoming birthdays. I wanted a quality yarn and equally affordable. I first learned about this yarn on one of my FB crochet groups and after a little research I soon found myself ordering 3 cakes and some extra yarn as well. The color options, the ability to LOOK at actual projects made with the colors you are considering made it an easy decision to buy from Hobbii. The yarn came a little earlier than expected , I was updated from Hobbii at all times from the order from start to finish. Quality yarn affordable prices, extraordinary customer service. I WILL be buying from here over and over. Thank you Hobbi. Tina

I had never ordered from Hobbii before, but saw their cotton/acrylic Twister yarn on sale. I had been looking everywhere for a nice cotton/acrylic yarn cake with changing colours that didn't cost a fortune to buy & then ship to Australia. I was stunned to find that it was free shipping from $74AUD. What?! I purchased 5 Twisters to crochet shawls as Christmas gifts for friends & my Mum. The parcel arrived swiftly with a treat inside, the yarn colours are stunning, deliciously soft & a dream to crochet. I'm beyond excited as the 1st shawl is looking exquisite with it's gorgeous colour changes. Sooooo happy! Defintely going to purchase more in the future.

I am absolutely IN LOVE with Twister! I only purchased one skein because I'd just about given up on finding a cotton yarn I really liked. I could kick myself in the butt for not having ordered more!!! It is extremely soft, crochets BEAUTIFULLY, and the colors of Sweet Olive are gorgeous! The shipping was extremely reasonable and arrived to my rural Texas home right on time. I believe I've tried every yarn in the U.S. over the past six years and have been left unsatisfied. I felt I had been looking for a yarn that didn't exist...until I opened my mailbox yesterday. Can't wait to order more and try your different yarns. Many thanks y'all!

Oh my, oh my....
So what did I expect and concerns from 50/50 cotton acrylic Yarn that I have not seen or felt myself?
Soft, gentle against the skin, quality of the yarn, are the claimed graduated colour change really as they claim, will one really be enough to make a shawl....
I have been crocheting the shawl over a couple of days and I have no negative reaction to the dye, it's super soft against my skin, it's easy to work up and is exceeding expectations so far...
Will update with a photo on completion of the shawl.
Thanks awfully for this great product.
