We really just cannot get enough of our fantastic Friends Cotton 8/8.
Cotton is a great, strong, durable, breathable, absorbent, and lightweight natural fiber. Friends Cotton 8/8 has no less than all these characteristics and it is made out of 8 threads spun together.
All the shades have been thoughtfully selected to create a complete range that spans from bright to pastel and darker colors.
The whole range comes with our “easy start” pull-out tab, making it much handier to find the beginning of your skein.
This fiber is also easy to take care of, making Friends Cotton 8/8 so versatile that you can craft anything with it. Need some inspiration? We recommend dishcloths, pot holders, totes, and rugs for your house. It will be suitable for any kind of garment for both babies, children, and adults. And let’s not forget stuffed toys, amigurumi, and cute animals. Cotton has a great stitch definition and will work amazingly well with textured stitches.
Aren’t you already in love with Friends Cotton 8/8?
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at the https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/
About the Friends family
The colors of the yarns included in the Friends family are literally friends!
This means the colour numbers correspond to the same colour across the different Friends yarns. If you order the same colour number from two different Friends yarns, they will match. Please note that there can be slight differences in the shades from fiber to fiber.
Have fun combining and matching them in all your projects.

You must try this yarn!! I usually buy the rainbow cotton 8/4, and I love that so much, that I never thought I would get anything else. However, I really want to make a cardigan, and I would prefer yarn that is a bit thicker so it can be a warmer piece. Well, the friends cotton 8/8 IS thicker, and the softest yarn I've ever felt. It feels so good on my face. Lol. I bought the color called Turkish Blue, and it must be popular, because I tried adding another 22 skeins to my cart to order, and it was sold out. The color itself matches the picture exactly, and it's such a beautiful color that I can't wait to order more.
The most softest cotton I have ever used!! I made a sweater out of extended half double crochet stitches and the drape was absolutely wonderful. I literally can't help but stare at my work for ages. My only gripe is that they only sell it in 50g skeins so if you make a larger project you're going to have to do a lot of joins or weave in a lot of ends. It also has the easy start tab on the centre pull and i think out of 20+ skeins I have only ever had one prolapse. Otherwise, it pulls out so beautifully and smoothly I have no idea how they do it.
It's definitely worth it, 10/10 would recommend.
This is some soft cotton! I haven't felt many soft cotton yarns, but this one is definitely up there! I got #65 grape, #01 white, #119 gray, and #124 black and made a tunisian crop top. With #84 French blue, #24 Sunflower, and #47 Pink, I crocheted a heart and attached it to acutely represent my flag (panromantic ace) and since there was enough left over, I was able to make a second top in the reverse colors (blue, yellow, and pink top with purple, white, gray, and black heart).
And I was able to finish both in time for Pride month!
I am so impressed with this yarn!
A few months ago I was playing around with different types/brands of cotton yarn, but I think Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/8 might be my favorite!
Some cotton yarn feels very stiff and scratchy, but this yarn is the absolute softest cotton yarn I’ve ever felt. I have had no issues at all with fibers separating as I’m working with it.
This yarn is a dream!!! (Good thing I like it, I bought 16 skeins!) I’ll be sure to post pictures of my makes as they come off the hook !
I'm working on a mental health blanket (modified temperature blanket) with mostly this yarn (i.e. looong rows, lots of color changes, lots of handling the piece), and it is incredible! So so soft, I keep rubbing my cheek on the work as I go! All the colors I got are true to what is shown on the site. The weight matches up perfectly with the Cotton Kings 8/8 and Rainbow 8/8. Color changes with a fisherman's knot have been a breeze, even with a short tail. So great to work with!
