When we made Hobbii Dahlia, we wanted to create the most beautiful explosion of color. For Dahlia Halloween, we’ve flipped everything upside down and chosen the most spooky and fascinating colors we could think of.

The Dahlia line is known for its four untwinned thin cotton strands that gradually change color, which create the most magical color shifts in your knit or crocheted projects. The changing colors almost create a kind of dip-dye effect that really shines in projects like knit or crocheted shawls.

The yarn is made from 100% pure cotton and comes in large skeins of 200 grams (approx. 7 oz). The sky’s the limit when you’re working with Dahlia Halloween. Use his yarn for the craziest Halloween costumes – or make some unique accessories for a costume you’ve bought.

Tip: You can make it much easier to work with a four-stranded yarn by running it through a small bead before you start knitting or crocheting. That way, the strands will always stay together while you’re working.

This cake yarn was the first I ever purchased. I was worried about the lack of twist and the single strands, but the trick with the bead works great and I had no issues using it. I made a T-shirt knitted top down out of one cake - I'm a size 16. It was just enough yarn for it to reach my bum. It's great to work with. You just have to be careful around cats, they easily can break some of the thing strands or pull them out of the finished garment. I learned my lesson, I'm now only wearing it when I'm leaving home and I'm washing it in a pillow case.

I love, love, love the color 01! It is absolutely gorgeous! I have made a beautiful dress using 2 skeins of it (that you can see in the photos). The yarn is 100% cotton with 4 threads that may be hard to crochet for beginners, but if you have done some crochet already, it is totally doable. If you like Halloween, witches and whatnots, then make you a favor and get some of this yarn. I hope Hobbii can keep selling this the whole yarn as I want to experiment with all colors!

It's hard to pick a favorite of these colors, but I think I'd say mine is Hypnotized. It is the absolute PERFECT yarn for making Halloween-themed shawls! I wear a LOT of black, so a lacey shawl with these intense colors really stands out. This year, I'm also going to make a tablecloth with Hypnotized to decorate my candy bowl stand. Love this yarn and I stock up on more every year!

If you buy 1 of most of the colors, you'll have plenty to make a really colorful blanket. I started with the purple and gray, and just connected each color back and forth to the same color on the next cake. I made a summer throw blanket with the iris stitch. It's 6ft wide by 7ft long. 10/10. Perfect for summer and the ombre is beautiful

Great yarn! The colors are so vibrant and great transition between them! The yarn is thin and not tightly spun. Would be interesting to see this worked up with a worsted weight #4 or #3 to give it some bulk. I should have bought more of Freaky Nightmare before it sold out! Hopefully they bring it back!
