Have you ever dreamt of plenty quantities of cotton that do not end right in the middle of your work? If you crochet or knit a lot, you probably know that you just use large quantities of some colors.

Meet Cotton Kings CONE 500 – a wonderful tower of amazing, durable, and soft cotton in a classic 8/4 ply-fingering weight. Here you get a total of 1859 yards (1700 m) of really great cotton.

Your cone works best if placed on the floor e.g. in a yarn bowl where it will stay put while it supplies you with yard after yard of wonderful cotton. At the same time, start getting excited about not having to weave in a lot of ends when your pretty project is done. Just to compare, one cone equals 10 skeins of “normal” 1.8 oz. (50 g) skeins in which case you would often have to change skeins and weave in a lot of ends in order to use the same amount of yarn.

Cone 500 can be combined with a lot of other 8/4 yarns such as Rainbow 8/4. Use it e.g. for interior items such as cotton blankets for the Summer house, dishcloths, guest towels, clothing, or crocheted creatures.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2476-419). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Super looking forward to my huge order of white (coconut) to make a blanket, crazy I know, a blanket with this fine thread, but yeah, I’m going to do it… Instead of the 150 yards I got online for $5, the quality is good but it’s mercerized which means it’s not good for the environment if anyone cares about chemical processing, but goodness, if I use that stuff it will cost me a fortune.. that one measly ball was gone with one square, and I need to make 8 x 6 = 48 squares, plus borders between and around. So….. I went searching everywhere and finally found this and given it’s still on sale after Black Friday (yay!) with 30+% off.. I’ll have oodles of the stuff for my blanket. BTW, the blanket is a traditional Netherlands one, by maker Haakplein, and the pattern is on their website for free as a CAL, crochet a-long. So cool. Love.

I love these cones so much. I'm slowly building a nice collection of them. The cotton is a basically the same as the rainbow cotton and when used together you can't tell the difference. I've made baby clothes with them and it's so nice to work with. It washes well and looks like new even after many washes.
I love that you get alot on the cone without the huge price tag.
They look smaller than I was expecting when I first ordered them but it goes a long way.

This is beautiful cotton to crochet with. I bought 7 to try initially and have fallen in love with these. Lovely big cones with 1700 metres of 4 ply cotton. Thanks goodness for hobbii I’m back into crocheting again ❤️. I have lots of enjoyable projects to get through now. Shipping was fast too given that we are ordering from New Zealand. Customer service and communication was smooth. The whole process of ordering online was enjoyable.

I LOVE these cottons! I bought a heap of different colours to make face washers, I use two stands together. I can blend different colours to make variants of colour. I make sets of three for gifts, my friends love them when I team them up with my hand made soaps. I also make dish cloths, but the list of uses for this product are endless as your imagination! I have even used it to make mini-macramé! You can't make a mistake buying this product!

I found these cones on special recently so I ordered 5 to try. I checked for the postie every day, maybe even twice a day...... My order arrived in Australia in about 9 days and I will be ordering more! And more...
The yarn is soft and easy to use, only problem is "What do I make first?" I want to use them all...straight away.
Thank you hobbii for affordable yarns, every colour you could want and wonderful customer service.
