PATTERN INFORMATION
Maude is inspired by the popular Pillbox hats from the 1950s and 1960s. The hat features two chunky cables along the body and smaller cables along the side of the crown. It is worked with 2 strands of Natural Wool and 1 strand of Silk Mohair held together.Workflow: The body is worked vertically back and forth following a chart. The body is then connected in the round either by grafting or using the 3-needle bind off. Stitches are picked up along the top side for the crown. The crown is worked in the round with a small cable pattern and shaped with decreases. The model has a head circumference of 54 cm / 21.25”and is wearing a size 2.
