Apricity is a lovely blow yarn created in collaboration with Toni Lipsey (TL Yarn Crafts). Through her creative universe, she has become an influential voice in the world of crochet. With her warm personality and eye for modern designs, she has inspired thousands of crocheters to explore new techniques and find their own creative voice. Now, in collaboration with Hobbii, she has developed her very own yarn.
The yarn captures the feeling of sunshine on a cold winter day, and the name, Apricity, means just that: “the warmth of the sun in winter”. It describes the exact vibe of what it feels like to hold this lovely yarn in your hands.
Apricity is produced in Italy and has a fine tube structure: the yarn starts out as a polyamide net tube that is then blown full of a soft and luxurious mixture of 65% alpaca and 7% merino wool. This brilliant process produces a yarn with a unique fullness that is still light as a feather. The addition of polyamide adds durability to the yarn, while the alpaca and wool add that cozy softness that feels amazing on your skin.
The fibers also create a nice and plushy feel that is incredibly soft and perfect for projects you want to keep you nice and warm without feeling heavy.
