Width: Approx. 6.5 cm / 2.5”
PATTERN INFORMATION
These delicious Japanese treats are traditionally eaten during the spring to celebrate the opening of the cherry blossom trees, hanami. These sakura mochi have a more coarse texture than others, so you’ll hold 2 strands of yarn double for the main sweet filling.
The pattern is suitable for beginners, and a photo guide is included to help you throughout, as well as a stitch guide at the start. It’s a very quick make, but best of all is that you can interact with the finished result! Make the mochi filling 1st, then the pickled sakura leaf to wrap around it, and finally add a little sakura flower on top.
Please note: This pattern is bought as a downloadable PDF. It’s not sent as a physical product.
