PATTERN INFORMATION
These strawberry-stuffed mochi (daifuku) are a fun and interactive play food project. It’s suitable for advanced beginners, and a photo guide is included to help you throughout, as well as a stitch guide at the start.
The mochi ‘shell’ is made in 2 halves, followed by the red bean paste / matcha filling for each half. The 2 halves are joined together, and finally, you’ll make the strawberry to stuff the mochi with. The strawberries aren’t attached in any way, so kids (or playful adults!) can enjoy ‘making’ their own Japanese sweets by stuffing the mochi themselves.
Please note: This pattern is bought as a downloadable PDF. It’s not sent as a physical product.
