PATTERN INFORMATION

An airy and chunky vest with plenty of cable twists and a relaxed, oversized fit. Clematis Twist is inspired by vines crawling up trees and wrapping themselves around my summer house in the Indian summer sun. The cable pattern twists like little wild branches, giving the vest an organic look.

The vest is knitted from top down which means you can adjust the length as you go. You start by knitting the back panel back and forth, then you’ll join and pick up stitches, first for the left shoulder, then the right. The front panel is then joined, then the whole work is joined and you’ll continue to knit in the round on circular needles. The design is then finished off by picking up stitches in the neckline and the armhole and adding a ribbed edge. It’s got a wide rib and spacious fit, so it’s easy to throw over a shirt, dress or t-shirt.

Clematis Twist Slipover has a slightly oversized fit with a positive ease of 8-12 cm / 3-5”. It’ll fit chest measurements of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-102) 102-110 (110-120) cm / 31.5-33.5 (33.5-35.5) 35.5-37.5 (37.5-40) 40-43.5 (43.5-47.25)”
