PATTERN INFORMATION

Mostly-for-shopping is a beautiful and durable tote, with a graphic look and very simple in a two-colored checkered pattern. There are 3 steps to working up this tote: the first one in which the stripes of the pillow are knit in the round in stockinette stitch and with certain stitches that are purled. Then you crochet into the vertical lines, thereby forming the beautiful, checkered pattern. Pure magic! When the long handles have been worked and attached, the tote is put in the washing machine with a pair of worn-out jeans and the wash causes the wool to shrink, whereby it gets felted and the fabric becomes thick and durable. This is called felting.
