This pattern is super easy. I really love making these hats. I am making two; one for my 7 year old niece, and one for a baby who's on her way in january. The pattern has basically six rows, before you start repeating the stitches until the rim part. The room is super easy to make, and being as experienced with crochet as I am, it was really easy to tell what she meant right away.

I've been testing patterns for premie and newborn hats to make for hospitals. This one is perfect. It's attractive and easy to work up. I needed a minute or two to visualize the intent of the brim instructions, but once I got past that, it was a breeze.

Loved this pattern, it was very easy and fast to make. I just noticed the top of my beanie is a bit bobbly, probably because I made the biggest size. If you make this pattern in the biggest size, I recommend you to crochet loosely in the beginning.
