So simple to read and complete. I made it alittle longer on the end ribbing and slimed the arm cuffs then the pattern called for to fit my liking. I used a cotton and acrylic held together instead of the wool and puffy yarn. The numbers added to 5 and turned out very nice. I will make this sweater again using wool later, just was trying to use up yarn I had over flowing from already completed projects.
This would be a great first sweater for beginners

This is a great pattern to start off with for a beginner knitter. I chose this as the first sweater I've ever made and I had no problem with it. There's nothing complicated but it's just challenging enough to allow you to learn. I would definitely be cautious using the recommended mohair yarn if you have sensitive skin though. I find I can only wear this jumper with a high neck long sleeve underneath as it's a bit irritating.

This is the first time I've made a top-down sweater pattern. It's not finished yet but so far so good and the pattern is very easy to follow and understand. I'm planning to reduce the sleeve a little and bring the bottom rib in a bit. Using only one yarn - a wool/acrylic mix which I had in my stash (same gauge though).

Nick-named “Bobbie” by my twin sister, since we started to talk (she couldn’t pronounce her “r’s” for Barbie”). This would definitely be the sweater I’d knit if I won this year”s Valentine’s giveaway. Looks cozy, soft … and fast to make!

Connie

Pattern is very well written and easy to understand. Definitely a great beginner project! I modified mine to fit a little tighter, smaller than the xs size. The yarn combination it recommends is amazing. The sweater is extremely warm and fuzzy.
