PATTERN INFORMATION

The Bittern vest is worked from the top down in a 4-row repeat. First you work the back, then the fronts are worked separately to the bottom of the armholes, then all three pieces are joined and worked to the hem. Finally, rib is worked around the armholes, neck and along the button bands.

The vest is primarily worked back and forth, but circular needles must be used to “slide” the work and create single stripe rows. They are also required for the ribbing around the arms.
