Thick, chunky and super soft – that is how Baby Snuggle Solid is best described.
Baby Snuggle Solid is a microfibre yarn and you might already know its type as it is used in e.g. teddies, blankets and super soft dressing gowns. The velour-like surface is what makes the yarn so incredibly soft, that it’s hard to keep your fingers off it.
Baby Snuggle Solid has a stimulating surface and is thus great for baby and children’s things, e.g the most wonderful blanket or the softest teddy bear. It is also well suited for interior projects such as pillows and fuzzy poufs…
Remember that you can also use the yarn to crochet or knit something for yourself. Lovely, soft sweaters in Baby Snuggle Solid will feel like wearing a great big hug.
Always start and finish your projects in Baby Snuggle in the following manner:
1. Tie a small, tight knot at the end of the yarn when you are starting and again when finishing your work
2. Very carefully burn the tip of the yarn. It will melt into a little hard ball.
Repeat every time you change skeins. This will ensure that the fibers don’t “slide off” the yarn as you are working with it.
Baby Snuggle Solid has the Oekotex label, and it can also be machine-washed, which is a nearly indispensable quality, especially if the yarn is used for small children.
If you prefer a print variant you can find Baby Snuggle Print here on the website. You will find the link above this text.
The print version is slightly smaller in volume than Solid but can be knitted and crocheted on the same needles/hook. This can, however, be affected if you mix Print and Solid in the same project and that is why we recommend you use them separately. Since Snuggle is a thick yarn, where few stitches quickly become lengthy in cm, it wouldn’t mean a difference in the size of the finished projects made in the two variations.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification on the https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/.

I am so, so, SO in love with this yarn!!!! I've been searching for the perfect chunky and squishy yarn to use for amigurumi, and I've found exactly that with the Baby Snuggle. It's like a perfect combination of blanket and velvet yarn, and it produces such soft and beautiful finished products. It gives more of a "smooth" look instead of a bumpy one that you'd see with the typical acrylic/cotton yarn that's used in amigurumi, so I love this nice and plush effect. Really perfect for loveys, dolls, and stuffed toys. I also want to mention how smooth the yarn feels when you crochet with it too; it just GLIDES and makes crocheting even more relaxing and enjoyable than it already is!!! This is definitely my new favorite yarn for amigurumi!!!
Wow! The delivery was pretty decent with an international address and nicely packaged. Even for a beginner like me, it was worth it to try this plush yarn which makes stitches hard to see (any velvet yarn does that). But I love the end result - it glides so smoothly through the hook and had very little shedding while working which was surprising! After I finished my project, I’ve been rubbing it and nothing’s shedding - my husband’s first comment was “It’s very soft” which it absolutely is! I wish I had bought more colors and I will - with my crochet learning curve, I’ve been hesitant but boy is it worth it! Can’t wait to get more - amazing and perfect for plush toys!
this yarn has completely blown my expectations. it is so so soft and i just cant stop squeezing the ball of yarn with how soft it feels ! this yarn is amazing for blankets as its so soft and has a small amount of weight to it. This was so worth the wait and i was so thrilled when it arrived and just over the moon when i felt it! amazing yarn and is so so so worth it! absolutely going to but more of this wool and from this brand i am beyond impressed !
Absolutely LOVE this yarn for amigurumi and plushies. Great stitch definition, so soft, plush yarn fills stitches and gaps, pretty easy to see stitches/feel stitches, and no fraying issues if you know the end of the cut yarn. Easy on my wrists as well, which is great because blanket yarn kills my wrists but gives similar finished product to this yarn. This is more chenille.velveteen than blanket yarn, though, and that's what really makes it special!
Love it but it is for a more experienced crocheter. If you have to frog your project more then once, just cut it off cause the yarn is no good. When you cut it, keep in mind to leave another inch because you lose yarn on both ends of your cut. Comes off in little fuzzies. For these reasons, I say for a more experienced crocheter.
Qick to receive although coming from another country. Packaged very nicely. Will for sure order again!
