Apricity has been thoughtfully created in collaboration with Toni Lipsey of TL Yarn Crafts. The name itself, Apricity, reflects the comforting glow of sunlight on chilly days, and this yarn brings that same sense of warmth and light to your hands and your creations.
Expertly made in Italy, Apricity is crafted with a tubular construction: the yarn begins with a polyamide mesh, into which a luxuriously soft blend of 65% alpaca and 7% wool fibers is blown. This ingenious process results in a yarn that is light as air, yet very voluminous. The addition of polyamide gives the yarn strength and durability, while the alpaca and wool ensure a cozy softness that feels gentle against the skin. The fibers also create a plush, lofty feel that is wonderfully soft to the touch, perfect for projects that need warmth without being heavy. The yarn's volume creates an impressive stitch definition while remaining delightfully lightweight, making it perfect for oversized scarves, cozy sweaters, and cushy hats.
The color palette of Apricity is nothing short of captivating. Each shade is deeply saturated, reflecting rich, radiant tones that evoke a sense of comfort and serenity. These colors have a gentle, mottled effect, adding subtle depth, and creating visual texture that enhances even the simplest stitches.
Let Apricity brighten your projects with the perfect blend of warmth, volume, and color creating a crafting experience that feels as comforting as the winter sun on your skin.

At first I was hesitant, because it's so much alpaca, and I sometimes have issues with that particular animal fiber. However, I ordered some to make the Metro Hat, and I can say that it doesn't affect my allergies like I thought it might! It's incredibly soft and a real dream to work with.
That said, it does shed a bit (like most alpaca) and occasionally I'm having to brush the fibers from my eyelashes. It doesn't shed as much as many other alpaca blend yarns, which likely has to do with that casing around the yarn fibers. Anyway, I will definitely be ordering more, maybe to make that beautiful Maple Sweater!

Loving this yarn! I got enough to make a Maple Sweater following the same colors the designer's used. Firstly, the yarn is incredibly soft. Secondly, the colors are beautifully saturated and bright. Due to the construction, there's no splitting, it's light weight, but still warm from the alpaca. I've never encountered such a lovely, extra bulky yarn. Very impressed!

I've received Apricity today and it is gorgeous. It's super soft, super squishy, and the blown fibers mean that it doesn't split when I use it for crochet or Tunisian crochet. I got Royal and Stone and I'll probably post my completed projects once I'm done with them, but either way I'm expecting this yarn to work up beautifully, as it did in my test swatch.

This yarn is great! Soft and squishy and it crochets up like a dream. I bought a neutral and a bunch of colors and they are beautiful. I will say I don’t know if it works up like a true super bulky; I’m working on a project that calls for super bulky, and I’m nowhere near gauge. Not really a complaint, more an observation.

This yarn is a beauty! Big and squishy and soooo soft. I haven’t crocheted with it yet but plan on making a cardigan with it that should be very warm because of the fiber used but also light because of the construction of the yarn.
