Hobbii Kid Silk is very high quality, wonderful and luxurious yarn. It is made from 70% kid mohair and 30% silk, and is manufactured in Italy especially for Hobbii in a plethora of remarkably beautiful colourways.

There are many reasons why mohair has resurfaced and become super trendy. It is soft and light, and gives your creations a luxurious feel. Furthermore, a few balls will get you a long way, because the meterage is an impressive 195 metres per 25 grams. Consequently, the end result is light as a feather which makes Kid Silk very suitable for projects such as shawls and airy tops made with either one or two strands.

If you want to add extra luxury and oomph to your pullovers or jumpers or cardigans, you can easily join a thread of Kid Silk with a thread of wool. There are countless possibilities for making beautiful combinations, like the combination with our Baby Merino. This method will allow you to create the most amazing rich colour nuances; two shades that are far apart will give you a deeply marled, high contrast effect, whereas two shades that are close together will produce a harmonious and more calm effect.

Soft, beautiful, delicate. I love this yarn. I am using it along with Dream Colour Wool to make a pair of mittens for a good friend and it is creating an amazing, soft halo that just brings a magical quality to the mittens. It is very delicate and if you are not careful, there will be lots of frogging. Move slowly and it's all golden. I seriously love the added softness that this adds.
