Bulky100% HB Acrylic
Amigo Giga is an incredibly soft and airy yarn quality made from HB Acrylic. HB stands for high-bulk and describes a production technique where steam and pressure make the acrylic fibers contract and curl to make them more voluminous. The result is an even lighter and airier acrylic which is pleasant to wear.
It’s both easy and fast to work with Amigo Giga. The yarn has a lot of volume and is wound in large, chunky skeins of 150 g (5.3 oz). Knit with a US size 13 needle or an M/13 crochet hook (9 mm) to see quick results in your work. The chunky yarn is amazing to work with for beginners since the individual stitches are so large that it’s easy to notice and correct mistakes. Amigo Giga is machine washable and easy to maintain. The thickness of the yarn lends itself to projects like pillows and blankets or things like chunky sweaters, soft hats and other accessories. It’s also a great yarn to use if you want to avoid animal fibers. You should also take a look at our other Amigo yarns. We have the yarn in different thicknesses, so you can also use it for projects that need smaller needle/hook sizes. All variants come in many beautiful colors, and the soft acrylic really soaks up the color well during the coloring process, which results in a yarn with a great depth of color that does not wash out.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification on the https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Absolutely Love this yarn, it's my most favorite out of the whole Amigo line: incredibly soft, airy and silky. Made a hanging Sea Shell for my kids' room [refer to the Photo Gallery], and my oldest one is learning to crochet with it. It's a perfect yarn for beginners, the stitches are big, clear, easy to count, and the fabric grows fast making it a very rewarding experience :)
I got 3 skeins of this yarn, and it's been very easy to work with. I'm new to knitting and tend to manhandle my yarn, and it's withstood everything so far including learning a new stitch. Only problem is that I ordered the color "sand" and it's much more grey than it looks in the photo. Not a problem for me, but something to consider.
This is a great thick and soft yarn for a quick blanket. A warning however! I get elbow pain and I ended up not being able to use this yarn. Not sure if its the weight of it or what, but I ended up giving it to my husband to use. I love the feel of it, but it requires more effort to pull through than other yarns I've used.
This is a lovely soft yarn and very easy to work with. As with all chunky yarns, the meterage is not massive but the projects work up quickly. I've made a cardigan with the yarn and I am already dreaming of my next project that I could use this yarn for!
Great value for such a chunky yarn.
It its super soft and swishy and works up fast.
The twist is great and gives the yarn some nice structure, I've crocheted a chunky cardigan out of it.
