Super Kid Silk is Mayflower's ultra soft, light and delicious mohair yarn, which consists of 76% mohair and 24% silk, both in the finest, most exquisite quality. You will really be able to feel the quality when you touch and handle the yarn. Super Kid Silk is recommended for a size 4.5 - 5 mm needle, but can also be knitted on larger needles for a more airy finish.
This soft and airy yarn is extremely useful for any knitted sweaters, vests, pullovers and shawls, both in combination with another yarn and by itself in all its simplicity. I can't properly relay how happy I am that I found this beautiful mohair! The quality is superb and the price is amazing! I have worked with mohair of varying qualities before and I must say this is the best I have found. I have worked with mohair hanks that have slightly less percentage of mohair than this and cost 2-3 times more per gram. All mohair can be a bit of a pain to work with (if you have to frog your work mostly), but overall this was a joy to work with and the finished product is so soft and beautiful! The only thing I wish is that they made the silk thread in colors other than white so if held together with other yarn the thread wouldn't show on darker colors. I will continue buying this yarn!

This is a beautiful mohair. Having tried many other brands in this price range, I keep coming back to this one. The colour range is incredible and the mohair knits up wonderfully. Fast helpful advice from Hobbii when trying to colour match to other Hobbii yarns, which is appreciated as computers don't always show the colours correctly so it can sometimes be a game of hit and miss.
