This pattern is great! I followed the yarn weight (rainbow 8/4 cotton) and hook size and it turned out perfect. I did add stitches to the width to make it slightly bigger—just make sure to do that in a multiple that adds a full wave. It’s a beautiful lightweight blanket. I’ve also made it with a heavier weight cotton—organic rainbow 8/8, which is no longer available but I wish it was!—and a larger hook and alternated colors and that turned out great too.

I made this exact same blanket for my daughter and my friend's baby. It turned out beautiful and it looks great in her bedroom. I was so proud of myself for being able to make this ripple effect blanket. The pattern was really clear and no problem following with great images and description! loved it!

It’s such a lovely pattern - I made two different sets for 2 babies, my friend’s & mine. It’s easy to do but the end result is always unique & just colourful to entertain & warm our babies. I’m sure it’s not just for babies - I’m tempted to make another one for myself!!!

Easy feather and fan crochet repeat pattern. This pattern works well with either multiple colors of separate yarns, or a large cake of color changing yarn, to avoid having to attach ends. Thanks for the well written free pattern.

This is such a great pattern. Very easy to do, but it makes such a statement when uts finished. I looks like a very detailed and intricate pattern. My go to baby blanket.
