I was anticipating that this would be a typical cotton coaster pattern, but it turned out just a little bit special. The dense last round of hdc stitches makes the outer "leaves" a bit thicker than the rest, making the whole coaster more absorbent. Perfect for a cold drink on a hot day.

It is a pretty pattern and it was pretty easy to follow! The only thing that you need to be carefull of is the 4th step. You need to crochet into the same stitch, not the next one : "Skip 2sts and work 1 hdc, ch 2 and 1 hdc in the SAME st. Ch 1".

These coasters are adorable, they fit a standard cup in Australia really well and look great with a variety of colours to add a little fun too the coffee table!
