Adorable sweater! Reminds me of the sweater Princess Diana wore and is up for auction soon. However, this pattern is definitely for an experienced knitter. It'd be best if you've already knit a seamed, bottom-up sweater before as the pattern is a bit sparse in details. Plus, you're knitting colorwork in the flat which is not that common to see in patterns these days (in my opinion). The sweater is worth the effort though!
