Soft and delicious 4-thread acrylic yarn, which is balled up in a so-called pullskein. You can easily use the innermost thread and use the skein from within. There are many of us who will benefit from the skein not rolling away underneath the sofa while knitting/crocheting. Or in the bag for that matter!
Malaga is found in a wide range of colors and the fine acrylic has a wonderful lightness. If you donāt tolerate wool, here you have a wonderful and warm alternative. It is easy to deal with, both on the needles and as a finished product as it can be machine washed.
Malaga is a very versatile yarn which can be used for loads of projects from clothing and accessories to interior items like blankets, pillows etc.
Malaga is a premium acrylic, so it has been spun from a very high quality. This means that the yarn is processed in several steps, which may well be reminiscent of the processing of wool. Among these steps, the acrylic is combed, making it fuller and even softer. In addition, Malaga has undergone a Hi-Bulk process where the yarn is steamed during production causing a little contraction, resulting in a more comfortable, soft fullness.
See also Malaga Print which is a true explosion of colors - there are countless opportunities to combine the two in a project - They have precisely the same thickness and are just waiting to become one in a fun and lovely project. Check out the link to Malaga Print on the top of the page!
The yarn is OEKO-TEXĀ® certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification on the https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Bought a 4 skeins of colour 14 on super special, (under $5 a skein), because a friend recommended it and had given me 2 part skeins leftover from a project.
Normally Iām not fussed on acrylic yarn⦠I just find it too āhardā or coarse⦠not something I can easily explain! Sorry!
Anyway, Malaga was an exception. Soft to use, did not split, slid easily over my hook (knitpro Zing), and crocheted up quickly into a much loved lap blanket. I used a simple C2C pattern and had it finished over a weekend. And, believe it or not⦠no knots!
I am now a convert. The rug has been dragged around by children, had icecream spilled on it, been washed many times, and still looks good. Minimal fluffing or pilling, and it hasnāt stretched or deformed (even though my daughter gave it a ānormalā wash š„“). Not static-y, and feels almost as good as wool to snuggle up with.
If youāre after a relatively cheap acrylic yarn of decent quality, donāt hesitate to give this a go.

I ordered 11 skeins of titanium/05 for a menās hoodie - I found this not to be as soft as the Malaga print previously ordered however, worked out better for the project. Itās very nice to work with, and my partner is thrilled with the finished result. The colour was just what he was after (have purchased many light grey yarns now for this project with each being not quite right for his very particular tastes!) this is another of my favourites

I purchased 7 skeins of Malaga Print, World of Yarn, color 01, lot 631436. It is simply gorgeous to look at, and it's amazing to knit with. It's so soft, it doesn't split, the color combinations move slowly and beautifully and unexpectedly from one color group to the next. The quality is superb. I love this yarn. Because there's so much going on with color, I've been knitting a sweater in a simple checkerboard pattern, and it looks amazing.

This yarn is seriously the best. I was very apprehensive with it being an acrylic which can sometimes be rough, but the reviews appeared good so I went ahead and bought some for a project.
This yarn is so incredibly soft, and is so smooth to work with, it knits like butter! It's honestly such a relaxing affair to work with it.
If you're on the fence about buying this yarn, I would strongly encourage you to go for it!

Finally decided to give this yarn a try after hearing how much people love it. Unfortunately it is being discontinued, but I really have enjoyed working with this yarn. It is a lot easier to work with than a lot of other acrylic yarns. Not really fuzzy (which is the biggest turn off for acrylic yarn for me) and does not split. I highly recommend if you are a beginning.
