I love this cotton <3 it's relatively light for a cotton (still more dense than almost any wool or acrylics, though), super soft, easy to work with, and the sticker is great for finding the inner end of the skein <3 I got both the black and the white. The white is fine on it's own, and it takes dye very well, which makes it perfect for mixing up my own colors, either directly onto the skein or to makeup the piece first and then dye it. The black is a great basic true black, which is very hard to hand dye so i prefer to buy it

I used this lovely soft, thick cotton to make a blanket for a friend (who loves it) as well as a bath mat for my sister (equally delighted), and now my nieces are asking me to make them mats as well (because I don't have enough left to make blankets for all of them). The blanket comes out well - nice drape because I used a 5mm hook, and for a spring or cool summer blanket, it feels weighted (good to sleep under) but won't make you too hot.

I needed a bunch of the same colors and saw these on sale. In my opinion, the yarn is better than the premium Rainbow there often gets compared to this. I feel it's smoother to work with. These are being discontinued anyway, but I'm glad I was able to snag a bag of this yarn while it was still available.
