Here at Hobbii, we’re always super excited about Christmas.
It’s always so cosy - the smell of fresh cookies, the Christmas decorations everywhere, crackling fireplaces, and last (but certainly not least) all the lovely moments spent with yarn in your hands.
But we also know that Christmas day can feel like it’s an eternity away, especially as we inch our way closer to December. So we want to make this Christmas even more magical to help you savor every second of it! Presenting this year’s amazing Advent Calendar - made for anyone who loves to knit, loves surprises, and loves Christmas!
The Advent Calendar consists of four presents, and you get to open one each Sunday before Christmas. Inside each present is a lovely combination of yarn and accessories, a unique link and a QR code for a brand-new pattern. You can choose to follow the pattern, or you can make whatever cute yarn project you want with the contents. And who knows, Santa may have put a little extra something in there for you, too, that we’re sure you’re going to love. While you wait excitedly to open your Advent Calendar, you can go get your 3,5 and 5,0 mm knitting needles (US 4 & 8). You should also get a 4,0 mm circular needle (40 cm) (US 6, 15 3/4 in). And last, but not least, you should also get a 3,0 mm double-pointed needle (US 2,5) … and that’s all I’m going to say for now :-)

I got the advent package from last Christmas and I found it to be very worth it. The yarn choices and patterns were beautiful. I've purchased the crochet advent for this year and have resisted opening it because I look forward to the surprise and challenge of working on each successive project in the weeks leading up to Christmas. I anticipate that this year's package will be equally rewarding as last year's.

I like the surprise aspect, but for the price (CDN$150+, not counting import fees of almost $30), it's expensive and not sure if I would purchase again. I would have preferred individual boxes instead of paperbags. At least boxes can be used for storing items or used for gifting and Paperbags just cheapen the overall idea even though photos of bags for this years calendars are clear. While it is an Advent Calendar I think a seasonal box would be better, to be able and start the projects sooner than December 3rd when the first project will become available. I'm not sure I'll be able and complete all of them in time for gift giving.

So temped to just open it... i wish they was in the boxes like in past years as it would have been easier to put away until its time to open them.

I was super excited for this that I feel like the reality of it was a bit of a let down..... the value is there but it also kinda feels like instead of carefully selected items for a built theme it is items that where not selling well put together in a bag with just a sticker to make it festive....Bag one contains a single Binder clip as one of its items for the week. What does a single Binder clip have to do with anything that would warrant it being purposely picked unless it was just a bunch of random items tossed in a bag. Maybe I was too excited for this that nothing could have lived up to the expectations but also who would think a Single binder clip would be in a knitting advent
