Hobbii Evergreen is our very special, high-quality, lovely, organic merino wool yarn. The wool is sourced from South America and it is mulesing-free, while the yarn is produced in Italy.
Evergreen is easy to knit with, whether you choose to knit with a single strand or double-stranded. The stitches work very evenly, and the yarn will become even softer when you wash it. With a running length of no less than 230 meters per 50 grams, a few skeins go a long way, and your finished project will feel nice and light. If you work double-stranded, you can use it with a size 4-5 mm needle, and you can get a knitting tension of approx. 17-20 sts in 10 cm. Let your imagination run wild and mix two shades that are close to each other in color to get a beautiful, mottled effect.
The thin wool yarn is also amazing with a yarn like Kid Silk that will add a fluffy halo effect and that little extra luxury. Sweaters, cardigans, accessories, or warm wool blankets, anything you can imagine knitting or crocheting in pure wool will become amazing if you make it with Evergreen.

This is a pretty nice yarn. It’s soft and fluffy. I’m currently using it in a temperature blanket and the color variety has given me plenty of options. It’s a Tunisian crochet project as well and the fingering weight gives each stitch great dimension. My only complaint is that it’s kind of sticky. Like it loves to stick to itself and can get a little tangled, but nothing too crazy where I get frustrated. It’s just something I’ve noticed. I was going to give it 4 stars but changed my mind because the final result looks so good that it out weighs the small annoyance of making sure it’s not stuck to itself while working up. Overall, I like it and will continue using it. Will probably buy again to make a nice lightweight sweater.

Just received my order of evergreen and WOW, such a beautiful color and nice quality. I’m really sad that this product is discontinued! Maybe because it was not as popular as other yarns, but the color I ordered is perfect I’m not into flashy colors and I’m always looking to find more neutral that are still colourful. Hobbii has such a good variety of yarns (that I’m still discovering). Don’t hesitate to buy some of this hidden treasure before it’s all sold ! :)

I loved this yarn! It was so easy to work with, had great stitch definition, and worked up MUCH softer than my first impression. I almost a worried that it would be too scratchy but trust me, the fabric is not scratchy at all, it's so soft and wonderful. Plus, blocking made it even better!
I thought the color options were great, that was what ultimately made me choose Evergreen. I was looking for a good pine green color and it did not disappoint. 😍

I am so pleased I decided to try this yarn. It's super soft, has a great, uniform twist, and has fantastic colors!!! I'm striping these solids with a hand-dyed merino wool, but it honestly steals the show in texture! Hobbii has the BEST yarns!!

This yarn works up very nicely when held with a mohair silk strand! My swatch softened up very nicely for a lovely fabric. I am disappointed that it is discontinued but I am looking forward to getting one of the remaining colors.
