Cotton Kings 8/4 is produced in 100% pure and lovely cotton and comes in a large assortment of good, fresh colours. The yardage is 170 meters and is suitable, primarily, for needles/hooks of 2.5 – 3.5 mm. Cotton 8/4 is suitable for pretty much and kind of knitting and crocheting you can think of. From baby and Summer clothes, to towels, interiors, dishcloths, teddies and throws.
As with all 100% cotton yarn, it can be machine washed and can be boil-washed. This is especially important, if you use the yarn for dishcloths, towels, etc. On the label we recommend 40°C, but only because the heat can make the colours fade in the long run.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification on the https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Just gorgeous! I love the feeling of this cotton. I purchased color 25, Hunter Green. It is a beautiful color, so rich and vibrant. The cotton has worked up into a beautiful couch throw. I have used fewer skeins than I thought I would have to. 5 of these make a nice baby blanket, and 15 make a light couch-sized blanket for a 62" person. I imagine I'll finish the blanket at around 45" square, and estimate I'll use 25 skeins at most.

This has got to be the softest, nicest lightweight cotton I have ever used. It knit beautifully and has stood up to lots of wear, washing and abuse as some of my kid's favorite hats. The colors are as vibrant, and the hand is as smooth as when it was first knit, despite being washed every few days. Amazing product!

LOVE this cotton yarn. It's thinner than what I am used to getting in the big box stores which is closer to a 3 weight in the US for a similar price but soooo much nicer. It is so soft and easy to work with and works up nice and sturdy for bags or use a bigger crochet hook and make clothing with gorgeous drape.

Really nice quality cotton yarn. It's a bit thin, but perfect for the soap-on-a-ropes I'm making for holiday gifts. Soft, easy to use as stated by others, and the colors are really nice. AND they don't bleed! My kids have been using their soap-holding-washcloths for weeks now and still going strong.

This was my first time working with cotton and I don’t know if I’ll ever try another. So easy to work with. I used my rigid heddle loom to weave some lovely dish towels. So far they hold up well to use and washing. Thanks for the sale price, I see a lot more of this yarn in my future!
