Each square measures approx 20 cm \/ 8”. If you want a smaller blanket you can make fewer squares, or to make it bigger you can add more squares. If using different colours or yarn I used approx 20 metres \/ 65 ft for each circle part and the animal features, 52 metres \/ 170 ft for the main colour.
