Baby Cotton Organic Midi is our fabulous GOTS-certified Baby Cotton, just in a slightly thicker version. Midi is equivalent to a 8/6 cotton, a really good, versatile thickness, that can be crocheted or knit on a US size 4-6 needle or a size E-G hook (3,5-4 mm).
The Hobbii Baby Cotton Organic line is made from 100% pure, fabulous yarn quality in a league of its own. It is spun from the finest Egyptian cotton fibers, it is environmentally friendly produced just for Hobbii and it is vegan.
Of all the cotton types, egyptian cotton is one of the most exclusive ones. It’s famous for being extra durable and soft. The long, exclusive cotton fibers are extra luxurious and are used for the finest cotton products around the world.
The organic cotton in Hobbii Baby Cotton Organic Midi is grown with care and is exclusively picked by hand when harvested. That way, the fibers are harvested at the optimum time when the plant is mature and the fibers have had enough time to fully develop.
The gentle picking also ensures that the fibers keep their volume, resilience, and length. It’s resulted in one of the most fabulous cotton yarns we’ve had in our hands for a long time.
P.S. If you’re looking for a cotton yarn that hasn’t been colored at all, you can find it in color no. 15, which is completely raw and natural. But take note that the color may vary slightly more than usual from batch to batch.

Purchased a few of these packs with the upcoming arrival of several babies in my extended family. So far it has worked great for my projects! It’s nice and soft and I feel good about giving babies organic cotton rather than knowing they’ll be ingesting plastic fuzz from synthetic yarns. It’s in the soft end for cotton yarns but is mostly what you’d expect with a mid weight cotton. Colors were true to the photos on my screen.

I purchased the pinks pack to do a special blanket for an Aunt. This cotton is the top of the top. I love the organic and the finish is so smooth and easy to work with, stitch definition is very clear, might be a bit more costly but so worth the money for that special protect. I love the sales to stock up. Thanks Hobbii for a fantastic product !

Very soft to work with, currently using for a baby blanket. Has a very similar feel to KnitPicks Sport Shine and other soft cotton yarns I've used, but it seems to pill a lot less while working up, which is very nice. The green color pack is really nice pastels
