Our gorgeous pillow deluxe isn’t just named deluxe, it is deluxe. That is to say, the pillow is filled with fantastic kapok fibres.
If you haven’t heard about kapok yet, then we’ll happily introduce it here, as kapok is a really appealing, environmentally-friendly product.
Are going to crochet or knit a doll for your child or grandchild? Then you can also use the filling from the pillow as filling for all kinds of teddies. Teddies with kapok are perfect for babies who put everything in their mouth, as saliva can quickly form the basis for bacteria and mold if the teddy is filled with the traditional polyester- or cotton-filling. With kapok as a filling you are sure to avoid this.
Kapok fibres originate from South America, Africa and Asia. Kapok is said to be CO2 neutral, as the trees absorb more CO2 than what is produced by transport of the fibres from the forest to the consumer. The pillows are fitted with a zipper, so you can adjust the amount of filling yourself depending on whether you’d like a more or less full pillow.
If you at any time think that the pillow has “set” a little, then you can advantageously put it in the dryer so the fibres become fuller again.
The pillows are produced in a Danish sewing room in Vietnam, where great emphasis is placed on the quality of the products as well as great working conditions for the employees.
We recommend wiping off stains with a cloth wrung in warm water with a mild detergent.
Measurements: 40 x 50 cm (1.3 x 1.6 ft)
I LOVE this size pillow: the proportions of it are just right aesthetically and functionally. The kapok filling is equally wonderful. My only disappointment is that these pillows are out of stock right now, with no date projected for when they might come back in. This is seriously the best pillow form I have ever used for projects.
