I have just started socks for my granddaughter who is soon to be 19 and has decided that she likes her Nana's socks and would I make her some! She was pretty specific about the yarn - it should be soft as her skin is very sensitive and machine washable please.
I am working with the Mayflower colour 2010 which is a lovely shade of blue. This yarn has a wonderful hand, soft and very comfortable to work with. I'm sure my granddaughter will be delighted when I present her with these for her birthday

That picture does do that yarn justice. It's much nicer in person. Soft too. I had a hard time telling 53 & 54 apart from the web pictures and just finally settled on 54. Darn it, if it isn't so dark grey it looks more like a heather black which makes it a perfect toe/heel/cuff partner to the faux fair isle yarn I just got in my Goodie bag. Black would have been too harsh, although black against that dark grey looks sharp. That will make a nice dress sock.

Abigail

Hands down my favourite sock yarn for price, workability, and comfort. Even full price it compares well with yarns I can buy in my country, and when it is on sale it can't be matched. Doesn't split while you work, and makes a lovely cushy sock that doesn't shrink, felt or pill excessively.

And the colour range is exceptional!
